Terms of Service
The rules of the road for using RoleMiner. Last updated 2026-06-19.
What RoleMiner is
RoleMiner is an AI agent that searches public job listings, scores them against your resume, tailors your CV for individual roles, and runs scheduled email digests of saved searches. It's a research + drafting tool, not a recruiter, and it doesn't apply on your behalf to anything you don't actively choose to apply to.
Your account
- You're responsible for the email address you sign up with and for keeping your password (or Google account) reasonably safe.
- You're responsible for any resume or other content you upload. Don't upload someone else's CV without their permission.
- One person per account. If you're using the agent as part of an agency or consultancy, contact us so we can talk about it.
Acceptable use
Don't use RoleMiner to:
- Spam, harass, or impersonate anyone in your applications or chat content.
- Scrape, mirror, or rebuild the agent's outputs as a competing service.
- Submit content that violates intellectual property, defamation, or hate-speech laws.
- Attempt to extract another user's data, override rate limits, or interfere with the service.
- Probe for security issues without coordinating with us first — we welcome responsible disclosure at hello@roleminer.app.
AI-generated content
The agent uses Anthropic Claude to draft tailored CVs, fit summaries, and chat responses. Generative AI sometimes fabricates details — even with the no-fabrication guardrails we ship with the tailor pipeline.
You're responsible for reviewing every tailored CV and chat response before acting on it. The review dialog flags potential fabrications inline (the "buzzword" and "low_overlap" warnings) but final accuracy is yours to confirm.
Don't submit anything to an employer that you haven't read and stand behind.
Job listings + third-party content
The job listings RoleMiner surfaces come from Fantastic.jobs, which aggregates from 1,200+ company ATS systems and job boards. We don't control their content — listings can be stale, role descriptions can be inaccurate, and salary ranges can be optimistic. Treat surfaced listings as a starting point and verify on the source page (the "Open original" link on every job card) before applying.
Subscriptions + billing
- Free tier: bounded daily limits on chat turns, searches, scoring, and CV tailoring. Visible on /profile.
- Pro tier: higher limits and recurring email digests. Billed monthly or quarterly via Stripe.
- You can cancel from the Stripe customer portal (accessible from /profile when billing is enabled). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- We don't offer refunds for partial periods. If something genuinely broke on our end and you couldn't use a feature you paid for, email us and we'll work it out.
- Prices may change. We'll give 30 days' notice before raising the price on an active subscription.
Intellectual property
You keep ownership of your resume, your tailored CVs, and your chat content. We get a limited licence to process them through the third-party services in our Privacy Policy so the agent can do its job. The RoleMiner name, logo, and the product itself stay ours.
Disclaimers + liability
RoleMiner is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We don't promise that you'll get a job, an interview, or even a response. The agent's outputs are suggestions — your judgement matters more than any score.
To the maximum extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim relating to RoleMiner is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose (or $0 if you're on the free tier).
We're not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages — including lost income, missed opportunities, or reputation damage from anything the agent generated.
Termination
You can close your account any time by emailing hello@roleminer.app. We can suspend or close accounts that violate the Acceptable Use section. We'll usually give you a heads-up first unless the violation is serious enough to warrant immediate action.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Brazilian law. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of São Paulo, Brazil, unless local consumer-protection laws in your jurisdiction require otherwise. If you're a consumer in the EU or UK, you keep all rights that local law gives you regardless of what's written above.
Changes
If we change these terms materially, we'll email active users and bump the "last updated" date. Continued use of the service after the update means you accept the new terms.
